Mr. Jonathan Heilman
Jonathan Heilman teaches Journalism as well as Freshman English and Sohpomore English. This is his second year at Freedom High School. Before moving to Freedom, Mr. Heilman taught Reading Intervention in Central L.A. In his free time, Mr. Heilman likes to play music, watch movies, and cook.

Ava Stafford, Chief Executive, has been on The Falcon’s Eye team for two years. As adedicated student, her pursuit of knowledge is matched only by her imaginative prowess as awriter. Along with her academic endeavors and literary creations, Ava Stafford provides anastonishing position on various topics. Captivating individuals with a curiosity for the seeminglyunnoticed, drawing in those who have never before contemplated the intricacies of theunexplored.

Noble Lusagala is a junior at Freedom High School. Taking the role of executive on the debate club, participating in CSF, alongside editing The Falcon’s Eye Sports Page, Nobel is experienced in various fields. He has drawn inspiration from his role in the Swimming and Water Polo team. He has a 3.8 weighted GPA and also volunteers at a local church in his neighborhood. He hopes to use all the skills he has learned to help people someday.
Senior Robert S. is an editor for the Freedom High School newspaper, specifically theeditorial category. He is eager to be a part of the team and contribute to the growth ofthe school newspaper. In his free time, he enjoys listening to various types of ear-ringing music and playing video games. Robert is looking for a smooth ride to end his high school career, but the school newspaper provides a contributing role to end with a bang.
Tori Tribble is a Junior at Freedom High School. This is her first year as the Student Life Editor of the Freedom High School Newspaper. In her free time, she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with her family. This year, she is excited to contribute to the school paper and further develop her journalistic abilities. She hopes to make many lasting memories while editing for the Freedom paper.

Junior Nicki Latigue is the Arts and Entertainment editor for Freedom High School. She is excited to talk discuss indulgent topics and wants to explore the arts. In her free time, she likes to draw traditionally and digitally, spend time with her cat (even though he hates her), and stay up late. Nicki wants to support her team and engage with others more often. Her personality is very timid and quiet when you first meet her but if she likes you, she’ll open and will crack some horrible jokes! Nicki is hoping to make it to the end of her junior year and learn some new lessons along the way.
Genesis Garcia is a junior at Freedom High School who currently leads the news section of the school paper with dedication and enthusiasm. Balancing her high school responsibilities, she also takes college classes, demonstrating her commitment to academic excellence. Genesis spends much of her time studying and enhancing her knowledge, which fuels her passion for journalism. She strives to keep the student body well-informed through accurate and compelling stories. Outside her busy academic schedule, Genesis enjoys exploring various interests and staying connected with her peers. Her goal is to foster a vibrant and informed school community through her work in the paper.
Iso is the resident Features Editor for the newspaper who’s way too excited to be in this position!! An avid writer and reader of fiction, she’s still happy and satisfied to be on the (nonfictional) journalism team. Other than reading and writing, he’ll play games and watch things in his free time; shows, movies, plays; video games, card games. Being part of the school newspaper for her last semester of high school is a big honor to Iso, and he’s determined to be a responsible journalist and a firm but lighthearted editor as much as possible!! “ai-soh” or “ee-soh”, either pronunciation works!!

Tejah is a Senior, responsible for overseeing the high school journalism team’s digital presence. She enjoys writing, asking questions, and provoking students. She's especially interested in how media shapes identity and challenges stereotypes. She likes exploring different perspectives and finding meaning in the details most people overlook. Outside of writing, Tejah is balancing her schedule—school, work, and whatever comes next. Love my dogs, family, and friends.

Nyanna is a high school student with a growing interest in journalism. She enjoys writing, asking questions, and provoking student thinking. She's especially interested in how media shapes identity and challenges stereotypes, which is why storytelling has always been important to her. She likes exploring different perspectives and finding meaning in the details most people overlook. Outside of writing, Nyanna is balancing her schedule—school, life, and whatever comes next. She tends to overthink everything, but embarks in the concept of attention. At the end of the day, she wants her writing to leave an impact, whether it makes people question, reflect, or just see things a little differently.

Paola Calderon Ramirez is a senior and the cartoonist for the Falcons’ Eye website and is excited to create art! Paola is currently in her second year with the team. In her free time she likes to listen to music (mainly indie music), draw, play games, write original stories, and watch the same shows on repeat. As the cartoonist, she hopes to grow as an artist and would love to see all the artist' work this year; with hopes to show them off on the website. Her final aspiration as a senior, is to end her high school years on a positive note, and to fight off “senioritis” to the best of her abilities.

Alisson Soltero - Staff Writer

Junior Alisson Soltero is new to the Freedom Staff. In her free time, you will find her reading, journaling, or listening to music; although schoolwork often takes up her time in the afternoon. She loves participating in community service and enjoys cooking new recipes. She particularly enjoys rewatching old movies on Netflix. She is helpful and intelligent when it comes to topics regarding her passions. Her main goal this school year is to pass all her AP exams, exceed at least a 3.2 GPA, and continue to expand her knowledge from the outside world.
Bret Warner is a writer at Freedom Highschool’s Newspaper. He has been writing for manyyears but only now, in his senior year, has he been contributing towards the local newspaper. Hewrites in an informative and unbiased manner as newspaper writers should be. He is in a heavy metal band and enjoys many music genres, not limited to heavy metal such as, rock, punk, classical, country-ish, and alternative. He works, sleeps, does homework, plays loud music, and would like to go onTikTok as much as possible before its banned.

Gabbie Rodriguez is a senior at Freedom High School. She is a part of the school's newspaper. She likes researching fun and interesting topics and writing articles. She hopes they can make it into the newspaper so all the students and staff can read it. In her free time, she likes to draw and listen to music. She also likes to spend time with her friends. Gabbie hopes to make an impact in the school's newspaper by playing a role. It means the world to her that everyone has the opportunity to read what she works hard on.

Junior Christopher Rule is a Freedom High School Journalist starting his Junior year. In his free time he plays video games, watch anime, and collect Funko Pops. During school he plays water polo and swim while working at the Waterpark during the summer as a life guard for almost 3 years now. Time to time he likes to watch documentaries based on murders and shootings (he’s not crazy I swear). Excited to be a journalist for his junior year he can’t wait to get the most exciting stories to write. Only time can tell what stories he’s going to write.

Mark Munoz - Staff Writer
Junior Mark Munoz is very excited to share his knowledge about sports. In his free time, he is either playing soccer, watching soccer , or playing EAFC25. His Favorite club is Football Club Barcelona, he has supported them through all the good and bad, meanwhile his whole family are Madristas, Barca's biggest rival Real Madrid. Mark did not let that get in the way of falling in love with Barca’s famous Tiki Taka playstyle.If he is doing neither of those he can be watching TV until he knocks out. Once Mark is finished with High School, he hopes he can still be connected to soccer in the future , by either being a referee or even a coach for a small league, to show kids what it is like to be passionate for soccer. Mark's second passion is music, his favorite artist of all time is J.Cole. He enjoys all different types of music, ranging from Corridos, all the way to R&B.
